Frequently asked questions

Asterionyx is a managed, prepaid AI API. You get one API key and one Base URL, choose from a live Model Catalog, and pay with prepaid Credits — all through a simple OpenAI-compatible interface.

Create an account in the customer portal and sign in. Your account is issued a single API key, which you can reveal and copy from the API Access page at any time.

Your Base URL and current Model IDs are shown in the portal’s API Access page. Use a client that supports a custom Chat Completions Base URL, authenticate with your key, and pass a current Model ID.

You create a recharge order in EUR and complete payment. Card payments can confirm automatically; bank transfers are confirmed manually. Credits are added as a separate step after the order is marked paid. A receipt becomes available only after Credits are added and is sent to your account email. Its subject and body include the matching Recharge ID, amount paid, and Credits added. If it is missing, check spam or contact billing support; an operator can resend it without changing remaining Credits.

Card payments are typically confirmed shortly after a successful charge. Bank transfers are confirmed manually, usually within a few hours during business hours. Unpaid orders expire automatically after 24 hours — that window applies to the order, not to remaining Credits — so you can simply create a new one when you are ready.

Your remaining Credits and a usage summary are shown in the portal with a last-updated time. The figures update periodically rather than instantly, so the displayed value may lag your most recent requests slightly.

Open the live Model Catalog for the current published list, capabilities, availability, and customer prices. Use the stable public model ID shown there.

Clients that support a custom OpenAI-compatible Chat Completions endpoint can connect. Setup guides exist for listed tools. The public catalog currently advertises model listing and chat completions; embeddings, Responses, images, audio, files, and Assistants are not advertised. See the docs for the capability table.

Requests are declined until you recharge. Non-streaming calls return HTTP 402 with code INSUFFICIENT_CREDITS. Create a new recharge order in the portal; once Credits are added, your requests resume with the same key and settings.

Key rotation is not self-service today. If you believe your key is exposed, contact support and we will help you secure your account.
